New Addition soon to be humbly submitted
Hello all,
I've been working on a new api of Ctypes that relies exclusively on the filesystem to store and read data. I've also been working on integrating it with Knop (with gratitude to all the incredible work that johan and all have put into it). At its core it uses Fletcher's JSON tags to read and write data, then creates a file-based ctype analagous to knops database type but on the file level, with all the member tags you'd expect ->Read, ->Write, ->Delete etc, plus some nice other ones like ->import that allows you to import a binary file like a image and store it in the data file itself as base64 encoded data, and a ->render that outputs said field. I also implemented a schema system for the records that allows you to create schemas that the files are based on, ie defining fields, field names, data types, required, length etc. The File Type is then based on that schema, which in turn restricts the data that can be written to the file. the schemas themselves are stored as JSON files and can therefore be manipulated much like we manipulate mysql tables.
I'm working on adapting as much Knop goodies as possible, already using knop_base has provided a wealth of good stuff. AS soon as I have it to a good point I'll release a rough alpha and hopefully get some feedback from you all, and maybe good suggestions. This will all be open source etc in the spirit of Knop.
First question, tho - I've integrated the ->_unknown_field tag into the json file ctype and it works great as a replacement for the #file- >(Getfield) I have been using. On error tho it looks to insert an error into the _debug_trace variable, which generates an error that this is a tag itself and "insert" is not member of type tag etc. I see where _debug_trace and debug_trace are set as arrays. How can it be seen as a tag (which it is if i make the error return the ->type.
Best,
