In the comments for Knop there are several references to Lasso 9
syntax changes. I assume that means the code is still Lasso 8
compatible, correct?

It appears that the Lasso 9 changes made were the following:
* replace iterate for creation of dynamic locals with explicitly
defined locals
* single-quote -parameters, e.g., '-parameter'
* remove trailing commas
* replace ambiguous use of multiple : with explicit () syntax

Is that about right?
