The community of Lasso developers working on the Knop project
knocked out a tricky bug this week and made significant
performance improvements in Knop on Lasso 9. We also have some
really cool stuff coming up for both Knop for Lasso 8 and 9.

========================= Bug Fixes
========================= In Knop for both Lasso 8 and 9, we tracked down, isolated, and
squashed a bug concerning record locking. Now stale record
locks get cleared, and when a user completes editing a record,
all their record locks are cleared. This is an important update
for anyone using record locking in their Knop solutions. Thanks
to both Ric Lewis and Jolle Carlestam for the fixes to Knop for
Lasso 8 and 9, respectively.

========================= Speed Improvements
========================= Jolle Carlestam has been extremely productive with applying
recently learned code optimization techniques for Lasso 9. In
one measured example, timing was sliced from 500 microseconds to
~55 micros.
